Grades:
Enkukwini Primary School is situated in the KwaDukuza Municipality, Ilembe District, Stanger CMC and KwaDukuza Circuit in the North Coast and serves learners from Grade R through the Foundation Phase and finishing in the Grade 7 in the Senior Primary Phase.
Awards:
Recognition begins in small ways with awards such as our termly achievement and attendance certificates per class. In this way, our learners learn that effort and dedication are noticed and celebrated. This develops children’s confidence and self-esteem so that they acquire the determination and skills to better the best. Academic commitment is recognized in an Annual Awards Day Ceremony held at the end of each year awarding learners for their outstanding results in all subjects and per Grade.
School Times:
The average school day for a learner would start at 7:30 am and would end at 13:00 pm for Grade R, 13:30 pm for Grade 1 and 2, 13:45 pm for Grade 3 and 14:15 pm for Grades 4 – 7. There are two breaks in a day with lessons of approximately 30 minutes long. In the first at break 09:30 all learners partake in the schools nutrition program from Monday to Friday.
Homework:
The purpose of homework is to help reinforce what was taught in the class. Teachers often give learners homework consisting of reading, problem solving, or writing. Learners are more successful in school when parents take an active interest in homework. Parents can be supportive by demonstrating study and organization skills, explaining a tricky problem or just encouraging learners.

Examinations:
Examination and tests are great ways to assess what the students have learned with regards to particular subjects and happen on a termly basis. Learners are encouraged to approach such times positively and with confidence and prepare adequately by consolidating work throughout the year. Regular attendance of all learners is emphasized so that consistency in learning is ensured.
Curriculum:
The function of the Caps curriculum is to help learners by providing them with such type of experiences that meet the needs of all. The curriculum consists of curricular and co-curricular activities as it plays a role in mental, moral, social, emotional and physical development. The language of learning and teaching (LOLT) in Foundation Phase is IsiZulu whereas in Intermediate and Senior Phase the LOLT is English. The subjects taught in each grade is as follows.
